What are the benefits of the product?

NUTRILITE Kids Omega-3 is mainly for children aged 4+. It can also be used by adults who are looking for alternatives to capsules and tablets.

What type of fish are used in this product?
The types of fish which are used in NUTRILITE Kids Omega-3 are:
Anchovy (Engraulis ringens and Engraulis encrasicolus), Sardine (Sardina pilchardus), Mackerel (Scomber colias and Scomber japonicus).
How are the omega-3 fatty acids turned into an emulsion? Technical background of the special matrix?
An important feature of the soft chews is the ability to combine both oil and water-soluble ingredients in one chew. Due to this preemulsified delivery form the soft chews are dispersed uniformly in the gastric juices. Therefore, the absorption of EPA + DHA is significantly higher compared with normal soft gel capsules, where the oil and water enter the stomach separately.
Why does the product only contain 215 mg DHA while the recommendation of the daily intake is 250 mg?

Why does the product contain vitamin D as well as omega-3 fatty acids?
NUTRILITE Kids Omega-3 not only supports the functioning of the brain with omega-3 fatty acids but also the healthy growth of children’s bones with valuable vitamin D. Children between the ages of four and eight increase their body height on average by 25% and that is why the support of healthy bone growth is also important.
What is the main source of vitamin D?
There is only one source of vitamin D in NUTRILITE Kids Omega-3, which is sheep wool grease (lanolin).

Why does the product contain sugar?
As parents do not want to force their children to take food supplements, it is crucial that the product tastes good. The taste barrier of a product which contains fish oil is even higher compared to other products. In order to provide great taste and to mask the fish taste in an effective way, NUTRILITE Kids Omega-3 contains natural sugar for a sweet taste.

Does the product contain any artificial flavours, colourants or preservatives?
No, NUTRILITE Kids Omega-3 does not contain any artificial flavours, colourants or preservatives.
Is there any iodine in the product?
No, there no added iodine as an ingredient in NUTRILITE Kids Omega-3 but there could be a negligible amount of iodine that comes naturally with the fish oil, but this is not standardised. If someone is not sure because there are some health conditions, we always recommend contacting their pediatrician or doctor.

What is the source of the wrapping for the soft chews?
NUTRILITE Kids Omega-3 soft chews are sold in aluminum blisters which are packed in a carton box. We recommend throwing the empty packaging in a paper refuse container. The rules for waste separation are different in each country – please follow your local waste rules.

Why did you launch the product in an aluminum blister which is not environmentally friendly?
NUTRILITETM decided that the taste is key in order to convince children to take the product on a regular base. The soft chews are the perfect format to offer a high-quality product with a great taste.
The soft chews can only be sold in an aluminum blister as this packaging can secure an oxygen & humidity barrier, which again secures:
• the taste of the soft chews,
• the fact that the soft chews stay soft
• And the fact that the soft chews are easy for use on-the-go (blister is perforated).

Why did you choose for soft chews?
Traditional omega-3 capsules contain fish oil, but they are not appreciated by kids due their strong fishy smell and fishy after-taste. NUTRILITE Kids Omega-3 soft chews contain sustainable fish oil in a special way – the special formula turns omega-3 fatty acids into an emulsion which stays dispersed in the gastric juice.

The manufacturing facility is not Halal/Kosher certified. We have a Halal certificate for gelatin and a Halal and Kosher certificate for vitamin D.
